A modern twist on this Passover classic. Super easy and....raw, organic, dairy-free, gluten-free, vegetarian (vegan if you substitute the honey!). Plus this yummy side dish is more then a "side dish" - try over pasta and veggies for a sweet taste, over pancakes or waffles, or on a piece of toast.
Apple Beet Chutney:
1-2 apples, peeled and grated
1-2 beets, peeled and grated
3/4 cup chopped walnuts
1/2 cup raisins
2 Tbs raw organic honey, or agave/coconut nectar works too
2 Tbs juice and 1 tsp zest from an orange
1 tsp cinnamon
1/2 tsp nutmeg
1/8 tsp sea salt
Stir all ingredients together in a large bowl.
